Easily send an email to a select group of people

I want to be able to send an email to a select group of users. For example: If I find a property that would work for 5-6 people, I want to be able to click their names from the contact list, and email them some details and a link. Right now I would have to create a template email and send them individually (unless i'm mistaken). It would be much simpler to add an activity under "bulk actions", like "send X selected contacts an email".

I see this request is a year old, and I'm a two week new user... but from what I see, you can click on multiple contacts to select them, and then under the "Bulk Actions" and then "Email Contacts" you can send one custom message to all contacts you marked. Is this a newer feature since your post? If so, it's a great addition.
